Terms and Conditions 

A. Account Deletion 

1. Before you submit a request (“Deletion Request”) to delete your customer account registered with Lazada (“Account”), ensure that your Account satisfies the following requirements:  

(a) Account in Good Standing: Your Account (including other related services, such as your Lazada Wallet account) is in good standing and is not the subject of any ongoing investigations, penalties or allegations for violation of our terms of use and/or applicable laws and regulations;  

(b) Last Account Deletion: For security reasons, the last request for the deletion of your Account must not fall within thirty (30) calendar days of this Deletion Request;  

(c) No outstanding transactions: You should not have any pending orders, payment obligations, refunds, deliveries, returns and/or disputes on the Account. Your most recent order(s) must have been completed and delivered at least forty (40) calendar days prior to the date of this Deletion Request;  

(d) Deposit, Refund and Lazada Wallet/ Lazada Credit balances (if applicable): There should not be any deposits or refunds balances (including Refund vouchers) or pending transactions for your Lazada Wallet and/or Account.  

Please ensure that you have withdrawn (where permitted under the relevant terms of use) or use up all Deposit, Refund and Lazada Credit balances in your Lazada Wallet and/or the Account. For assistance with any refunds and withdrawals to your Lazada Wallet and/or the Account, please refer to our Help Centre (https://www.lazada.com.ph/helpcenter/lazada-wallet-refunds-11536.html) or contact Customer Service at (02) 7795 8900. 

(e) No outstanding LazPayLater obligations (if applicable): If you have a LazPayLater account, please ensure that there is no balance, outstanding repayment, interest or fees on your LazPayLater account, and there should be no outstanding application or other transactions (such as balance withdrawals, credit application and any LazPayLater account deletion application); and 

(f) any other criteria that Lazada may notify you from time to time.  

2. An acknowledgment will be sent to you via registered SMS and/or email upon the successful submission of a Deletion Request.  

3. Because the account deletion process is permanent, we effect deletion only a few days after a Deletion Request is made. You may cancel the Deletion Request by logging into your Account within seven (7) days from the time of submission of the Deletion Request ("Cooling Period"). You will no longer be able to log into your Account on the expiry of the Cooling Period.  

4. All Deletion Requests are subject to approval. Subject to satisfaction and/or waiver of the conditions for deletion as set out in the Clause 1, the Account and your Lazada Wallet (if you are a user in Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) or Lazada Credit Account (if you are in Indonesia) will be deleted after the expiry of the Cooling Period.  

5. A confirmation will be sent to you via your registered SMS and/or email upon the completion of the Account deletion. Notwithstanding the deletion of your Account, we and/or our affiliates or representatives may contact you for further support if there are any issues relating to the processing of the deletion request for your Lazada Wallet (including any refunds and/or withdrawals which may be pending).  

6. If you decide later that you would like to use the features on Lazada's websites and/or mobile applications ("Platform") that require an account, you would need to create a new account. We reserve the right to reject any future account creation requests under the same credentials for any reason whatsoever and without any liabilities or responsibilities.  

 B. Consequences of Account Deletion 

7. All Account deletion is permanent. When your Account has been successfully deleted, you would not have access to any information, products and services associated with your deleted Account. Amongst others:  

(a) you will not be able to login to or otherwise access your Account, retrieve or edit any content or information which you have previously shared, or view your account history;  

(b) if applicable, your Lazada Wallet shall be automatically deleted. All unused cash rebates, credits, discounts or vouchers in the Lazada Wallet whether issued by Lazada or any third party, which cannot and has not been withdrawn shall be forfeited;  

(c) if applicable, your LazPayLater account and any LazPayLater facility for which you have been approved by any LazPayLater partner shall be automatically deleted, and you will not be able to access or utilize any LazPayLater credit facility upon the account deletion;  

(d) all remaining shopping credits, discounts, vouchers, coupons, rebates, LazCoins, or any other rewards or progress obtained via the engagement tools provided on Lazada's Platform shall be forfeited;  

(e) subject to Clause 8 below, all linked credit cards, bank accounts, e-money wallets, payment accounts, social media accounts and other services provided by any third parties will be automatically unlinked from your Account; and  

(f) you will no longer be able to file on the Platform a request for any returns, refunds, exchanges or any disputes which may arise from any transactions completed on your Account and/or perform any other operations whatsoever which require access to the Account.  

Therefore, if there is a dispute relating to any transaction, we recommend that you do not delete your Account until such dispute has been resolved. However, the deletion of your Account does not affect any rights you may have against the seller directly either under law or in contract or otherwise (such as under any warranties or consumer protection law).  

8. Please note that your Account may be linked to certain third-party applications. Some third parties may not allow you to unlink the third-party account via our Platform, in which case, you should proceed to the third-party account to which you have linked to your Account, and follow the instructions from the third party to disconnect them from your Account.  

9. Some information, such as messages, reviews, comments and other contents or information submitted by you to the Platform, are not stored in your Account. This means that other users may continue to have access to the messages you have sent and reviews, comments, or other contents you have posted on the Platform even after your Account has been deleted.  

10. All Personal Data disclosed to us and/or our affiliates will be handled, stored and processed according to our Privacy Policy available at https://www.lazada.com.ph/privacy-policy/ spm=a2o4l.home.footer_top.13.239e359ddqDhc9 , the Privacy Notice to Wallet Users available at https://pages.lazada.com.ph/wow/gcp/route/lazada/ph/upr_1000345_lazada/channel/ph/upr-router/render spm=a2o4l.11630224.footer_top.12.2a019c68UaB4cY&hybrid=1&data_prefetch=true&prefetch_replace=1&at_iframe=1&wh_pid=/lazada/channel/ph/legal/terms-conditions , and all applicable laws and regulations. After your Account is deleted, we and/or our affiliates retain certain personal data and/or other data relating to the Account for as long as isnecessary for the purposes set out therein and as required by all applicable laws and regulations.  

C. General 

11. Any clause in these Terms and Conditions and other terms and conditions as may be agreed to or accepted by you that is invalid, unenforceable or illegal shall be enforced as nearly as possible per its terms but shall otherwise be deemed severed and shall not affect the enforceability of any other clauses, which clauses shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.  

12. The rights and protections conferred on Lazada and/or our affiliates under these Terms and Conditions shall be additional to the rights and protections conferred on Lazada and/or our affiliates under the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, as well as such other terms and conditions as may be agreed to or accepted by you.  

13. Lazada may amend, revise, update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time (“Changes”). Changes will be effective when posted on the Platform with no other notices provided and you are deemed to have agreed to the Changes upon their publication on the Platform.  

14. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed under Philippine law.  

15. Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this contract or the breach, termination or invalidity thereof shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act of 2002. The arbitral tribunal shall consist of a sole arbitrator. The place of arbitration shall be Taguig, Philippines. Any award by the arbitration tribunal shall be final and binding upon the parties.
